Apparently it’s related…

So yeah after my last post Lethargic Gamers apparently is related to the following post on Phillippine Gamer, so here is their post for your reading pleasure:

Hey guys,

Just wanted to say thanks to the fine people at the Canon Puncture Show for featuring the Life and Times of a Philippine Gamer in their latest episode: “Jerks at the Gaming Table and their Looong Backstories.”

This episode was referring to an article written back in May 2009 “Character Development Happens In-Game”, a reaction to how some players prefer all significant changes to their characters to happen in their character backstory, and throw a fit when events in-game affect that idealized image of their characters in any way.

Admittedly, this is the first time an article of mine has been featured in a podcast so I have to admit that it’s a big milestone for Life and Times of a Philippine Gamer, and plenty of reason for me to celebrate.

Gamer’s Voice- Join the fight!

Fight is perhaps not the best word considering some of the outrageous violence orientated claims that are made. With Labour MP Keith Vaz  being one such example.

The group was set up by West Bromwich East Labour MP Tom Watson in direct response to the above comments. If your a gamer and your on facebook there really is no reason not to join and add your voice to the masses. As gamers lets me frank we have to put up with a lot of shit and its about time we had a platform for intelligent and thoughtful conversation about gaming rather than the mildless bashing that elitist publications such as the Daily Mail thrust upon their readers. With gaming more and more mainstream the antiquated views of journalists (who likely have an agenda and don’t put in any research without a clear bias) no longer hold true and need challenging rather than merely accepting and I definitely feel that Gamers Voice is a step in the right direction. So get joining;
